Aaron DeGroot is the of President for Cushman & Wakefield | Stevenson. Those that know him would attest that Aaron is tireless when it comes to building a strong culture and driving an exceptional client experience. Under his leadership, CW Stevenson is reinvigorating the commercial real estate industry in Winnipeg – and beyond.
Aaron has been with the company since 2007, first specializing in Commercial Real Estate Consulting, Valuation and Market Analysis. Aaron has authored and co-authored a number of feasibility and market studies that laid the groundwork for some transformational projects in the community. They include the SHED district in Downtown Winnipeg, the Railside Development Area for the Forks Development Corporation, and a supply and demand analysis for the University of Manitoba’s Southwood Lands.
In 2017, Aaron was appointed to the board of directors of the Appraisal Institute of Canada – Manitoba Chapter. Although this is a prestigious honour, Aaron says that his proudest moment over the past 13 years was when he and his wife Julie became parents to their 4 year old son, William.
In addition to spending time with his family, Aaron is passionate about supporting the community he lives and works in. He volunteers his time at a number of non-profit organizations, including Special Olympics Canada and the Tourette Syndrome Foundation of Canada. Aaron is also on the board of directors for Snowflake Place here in Winnipeg.
Aaron holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba and is an Accredited Member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AACI, P. App).

Aiden Kahanovitch is a Human Resources leader with 10+ years of experience helping companies grow and succeed. He is known for his ability to increase employee engagement and create a meaningful and productive company culture.
Aiden’s path to Human Resources is not the most typical one. After attending the University of Winnipeg and Red River College, Aiden began his career in finance. Thanks to some impactful mentors who were experienced in both disciplines, Aiden seized opportunities to become more involved in HR projects, policy development and change management. He knew he had found his passion, and officially became a full-time HR professional when he began working in health care in 2009- first at St. Amant, and then at the Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority. Since then, he has implemented policies, procedures, systems and strategic planning for organizations employing approximately 5,000 Manitobans.
As someone who believes in creating strong communities, Aiden has volunteered his time with community organizations such as Pride Winnipeg Inc., where he served on the Board of Directors at the HR Director and Vice President of Operational Supports. In his spare time, he enjoys boardgames (collecting them, teaching them to others, and running a board game group!) and hiking with his two rescue dogs, Dasher and Daisy.

Martin McGarry began his commercial real estate career in 1992 and has been a top producer for the last 2 decades. Kevin McGarry’s wealth of knowledge and experience spans many sectors of the business world including Education, Real Estate and Life Sciences. Kevin graduated from both St. Paul’s High School and then St. Paul’s College in Winnipeg. Kevin’s successful real Estate career began in 1984 with a partnership that started Pratt McGarry Inc (PMI).
PMI subsequently flourished and became Winnipeg’s largest commercial real estate company. Brad King joined Cushman & Wakefield in February, 2014 after a 35 year career with Investors Group Financial Services. Brad was responsible for managing a national portfolio of 1.3 million square feet of office space in 135 locations across the country. These facilities were occupied by approximately 5,000 financial advisors and their support staff. As a sales organization, these facilities were fundamental to the success of the business. A thorough understanding of their business requirements was an essential skill set in effectively fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Brad was directly responsible for the site selection and lease negotiation process. He negotiated 25 – 30 leases annually with the objective of managing their rent expense and mitigating risks to the business through unfair contractual obligations. Throughout the process I consulted extensively with internal legal counsel. Over the past four years Brad has represented a number of very prominent clients.
