The Heart of Steele award is presented to a team member who exemplifies the values of Maurice Steele, our beloved business partner and friend who passed away in 2022. The nominees showcase their strength of character through their commitment to kindness, community mindedness, and strong work ethic to support their team and clients. They embody our strategic priorities in the way they show up every day to work. Nominations are submitted by colleagues, and all nominations are blind reviewed by a selection committee.

Nina truly reflects these values both within her work and in her everyday life. She develops strong relationships with team members that are rooted in integrity, reliability, and positivity. Despite a demanding workload and the challenges of her role, she comes to the office every day with a positive attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed. Whether she’s supporting teammates or assisting clients, Nina brings professionalism, strong industry knowledge, and genuine care to everything she does.

As an integral member of our Property Management team for over a decade, Nina has developed a strong network within Winnipeg’s real estate market. As Vice-President of the Professional Property Managers Association of Manitoba and a member of The Asper Associates, Nina is highly respected across our industry.

In recognition of Nina’s achievement, we have made a donation to the charity of her choice: 1JustCity. This organization strengthens and sustains social justice work in Winnipeg, supporting three drop-in community centres that provide essential services in core neighbourhoods near downtown Winnipeg.
