Recognizing International Women’s Day

Saturday,  March 8 was International Women’s Day, a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, as well as marking a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.

This year’s IWD campaign theme is “Accelerate Action.” Focusing on the need to Accelerate Action emphasizes the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality.

Cushman & Wakefield | Stevenson is proud to be accelerating action by recognizing and celebrating women at every level of our company. With 60% of our team identifying as female, we’re excited to see so many talented professionals driving innovation, collaboration, and success in every area of our business.

Signatory of the CREW Network’s CRE Pledge for Action

Cushman & Wakefield | Stevenson is proud to be a signatory of the CREW Network’s CRE Pledge for Action since 2021.

CREW Network is a global organization that advances women in commercial real estate through business networking, industry research, leadership development, and career outreach initiatives. Their CRE Pledge for Action is an industry-wide pledge to support the advancement of women and other individuals in underrepresented groups including but not limited to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, ability, religion, and age. Companies share their efforts, initiatives, and progress to inspire others and encourage accountability and transparency in creating a more equitable and diverse workforce.

Empowering Women in Leadership

Approximately 60% of our leadership team identifies as female. Our incredible female leaders are committed to driving shared success across the company, and are deeply aligned with our strategic goals.

Advancing & Supporting Women Within the Company

In the last year, we have provided leadership coaching opportunities to some of our leaders through a female-owned executive coaching program. We also focus on highlighting women within our company, whether that’s through social media or publications.

Leading with Authenticity

We are focused on building and enabling a culture that values diversity of thought through inclusion. We ensure we are creating experiences and opportunities that truly matter to our team by seeking regular feedback to help us understand what opportunities they would like to see and ensure their needs are being met.

Hiring with a Purpose

Throughout our recruiting process, we intentionally use hiring methods that will provide access to a diverse pool of candidates and ensure our hiring process demonstrates a safe environment for equity-seeking groups to self-identify. We also engage with a variety of post-secondary institutions to support students and while we strive to provide them with rewarding workplace experience, we also embrace the opportunity to learn from their unique individual perspectives as well.
