Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence: Reflecting on Our Journey and Embracing the Future

As Cushman & Wakefield | Stevenson celebrates our 20th anniversary, we are proud to reflect on two decades of growth, innovation, and the meaningful connections we have built with our clients and team members over the years. Real estate, for us, is not just a business – it’s about building communities and leaving a lasting legacy.  

A Legacy of Trust and Connection

Since the beginning, Cushman & Wakefield | Stevenson has believed in the importance of building connections with our clients that are based on trust, support, and guidance. By providing a remarkable client experience each and every time, our clients know they can count on us to be a reliable partner in their commercial real estate and property management journey.

Our Journey

While it’s difficult to summarize 20 years into a handful of bullet points, there are some milestones that stand out: 

  • In 2004 we became incorporated as MMI Commercial Real Estate Ltd., which marked the beginning of our company. 
  • 2008 brought the transition from MMI Commercial Real Estate Ltd. to DTZ, which transformed us from a local boutique firm to a national brand.  
  • Adopting the Cushman & Wakefield name in 2015 accelerated our property management department forward and led to the induction of our appraisal department.   

What began as a team of 7 people sharing 3 offices has since grown into a dedicated team of over 80 professionals specializing in brokerage, property management, accounting, advisory services, and more, who embrace and live by our values.  

Since my arrival [in September], we have united our organization around a clear and compelling vision, mission, values, and strategy,” Jennifer said. “Our collective efforts are now mobilized towards fulfilling our shared commitments. Our primary focuses are growth, efficiency, and people.” 

Throughout the years, we have remained committed to not only creating and staying true to these values and company objectives, but also in continuing to evolve when it comes to technology and innovation.  

Commitment to Innovation

An important area of focus for Cushman & Wakefield | Stevenson over the years has been innovation and the implementation of technology. In an era and industry where technology is constantly evolving, ensuring innovation is at the forefront of our operations has been crucial to our success. 

Real estate is much more data-driven today than it was 20 years ago, and our team has been embracing this industry shift by utilizing better demographic and geographic data to help identify what type of buildings an area needs long before starting construction.  

The establishment of our Business Solutions team allows us to continually explore new ways to implement technology across the company to improve our workflow and consistency, as well as increase the effectiveness of our communication and collaboration, ultimately improving the client experience. 

One of the most significant investments in technology for our property management team is Yardi, a comprehensive property management software that combines accounting and property management data into a single, centralized system. Yardi also encompasses a resident portal and a listing service, which allows our team to provide end-to-end services for our residential tenants.  

Giving Back to the Community

At Cushman & Wakefield | Stevenson, we believe in making our community a better place to live, work, and play. Supporting organizations who share these values has remained a priority over the years, so much so that we now provide each member of our team one “Kindness Day” per year that they can use to volunteer for an organization of their choice.  

Additionally, we are proud to organize a number of volunteer opportunities, donation drives, and other initiatives throughout the year so our team can play an active role in giving back to our community.

As we enter our 20th year, our commitment to innovation and excellence in the real estate industry remains as strong as ever. We look forward to what the coming years will bring for Cushman & Wakefield | Stevenson as we continue working towards what is next.  

In recognition of our 20th anniversary, we are also excited to unveil our special 20th anniversary logo, which will be used across our company throughout the year to showcase this significant milestone.
