Employment Insurance:
This program covers employees who have been laid off from their jobs either full or part time. Applications can be made presently at: https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/ei.html   

Canada Emergency Response Benefit:
This program covers employees, self-employed workers, contract workers and those whose work has slowed but have not officially been laid off. Those who had an income of $5000 in the 12 months prior to applying for the program are eligible. Applications are open as of April 6th and will be back dated to March 15th. One may apply through the Canada Revenue Agency at the following website: https://cms-sgj.cra-arc.gc.ca/gol-ged/awsc/cms/login
